So, I have figured out why I have never liked the age old lunch stand in – the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. As much as I love my parents, my childhood pb&j’s were not made with fresh-out-of-the-bread-maker bread and homemade pear and ginger preserves. Let me tell you, if they had been, I would have been a confirmed pb&j lover from a much younger age.
Although, as good as peanut butter is with pear and ginger preserves, I just need to say that bre with pear and ginger preserves is even more sublime! In order for either of these to be fully appreciated, you really do need to have access to fresh bread. Fortunately for me, my mother got a bread maker for Christmas a couple years back and never used it. I however rescued it from its fate of spending eternity in a basement, and I am sure that there is someone in your life that also is holding your very own bread maker hostage right now. Making bread really doesn’t have to be as hard as it used to be.
