I am thankful for all of my amazing blessings.
I am thankful for my wonderful husband and for both surviving and thriving in our first year of marriage. I am thankful that he is such a loving and supportive person. He truly sees who I am, and wouldn’t change a thing. That is truly freeing.
I am thankful for my parents, who shaped who I am today. Without them, I would never have had some of the amazing experiences that I have had. I would never have gotten to homeschool and experienced what it is to love learning. I would never have gotten to express myself so fully, because I know few other parents who care so much about allowing children to develop their own interests and creativity. And I would never have learned what it is to have an amazing family that I want to talk to all the time, not out of obligation but out of friendship.
I am thankful for my sister, who is inspiringly creative. She shares many of my loves, and it is great to have a friend to share them with.
I am grateful for my aunt. She feels more like a sister, as she isn’t too much older than I am. She is always up for fantastic culinary experiences, and shares my intense enthusiasm for great food.
I am thankful for Gramme and Grandpa, who have helped shape me so much by sharing their loves, stories and lives with me. I can’t imagine where I would be without my love of cooking, sewing, knitting and history, but I do know that I wouldn’t be me without them.
I am thankful for Nana, who was one of the strongest women that I have ever met.
I am grateful for my wonderful support network of friends and family who are always there for me, both to laugh and cry with.
I am also grateful to those of you that read and enjoy this blog. It has been a great deal of fun to share my successes and failures with you all.
Have a very happy Thanksgiving!
