I am going to New York City on Thursday for a girls’ weekend with my mom, aunt, and sister. I’ve been looking forward to this for months. We’re staying in a wonderful hotel and planning on eating our way around Manhattan and Brooklyn.
To commemorate the occasion, I thought that it would be fun to whip up a new purse. My old one is pretty dilapidated, and a new one would help squelch a potential impulse buy. I am all for impulse buys while on vacation, but I am notorious for deciding that I don’t really like what I have bought a couple days too late to return it (i.e. as soon as I get home).
Unfortunately, it has been some time since I last sewed something that was three dimensional, and my purse has been quite a challenge. I have ripped out multiple seams, including one that was actually correct in the first place. The final straw was on the last seam. I was so happy that the purse was nearly finished, when I discovered that I had made another error, and I was sewing the final seam so that the purse would be inside out.
Back to seam ripping….
